However, the complex canyon terrain poses severe challenges to sound propagation: mountain reflections cause severe echo interference, the dispersion of tourists leads to blind spots in sound coverage, and harsh environments such as high temperature and humidity impose higher requirements on device stability and durability.
How can we ensure that the passionate call of the Red Flag Canal and the gentle murmurs of the Taihang River water flow through the canyon, lingering clearly, richly, and steadily in the ears of every visitor? Therefore, Studiomaster (Recording Master) from the UK has tailored a sound reinforcement system solution for the scenic area, integrating “precise control, stable drive, and full coverage”, to ensure that every explanation and every piece of music can resonate deeply with people.
The main sound reinforcement area of this system utilizes several customized Studiomaster G12N dual 12-inch three-way line array loudspeakers. These loudspeakers consist of two 3-inch tweeter compression drivers, four 6.5-inch midrange drivers, and two 12-inch chassis, forming a combination with exceptional headroom. Additionally, the weight of the cabinet has been significantly reduced, achieving an outstanding sound pressure level output to cabinet volume ratio. Its superior projection capability and sound clarity ensure high-fidelity and powerful sound coverage in the vast open areas of the scenic spot.
In response to the winding pathway and scattered observation decks, Studiomaster’s V310 dual 10-inch three-way crossover line array loudspeakers and Q208 dual-way crossover line array loudspeakers were flexibly deployed for precise sound reinforcement, effectively eliminating sound coverage blind spots and ensuring that explanations and music can be clearly heard no matter where you are.
Considering the acoustic features of outdoor sound reinforcement, where there is a natural attenuation of low frequencies, we have specially configured the Q218SH dual 18-inch subwoofer from Studiomaster. With its rated power of up to 2000W and a frequency response range that can extend down to 35Hz, it can produce deep and powerful bass even in open canyons. The loudspeaker features an optimized port design and a special phase plug, significantly reducing ambient noise and sound distortion, ensuring clear and powerful low frequencies.
